Converting to law

If you want to train to be a solicitor or a barrister, our Law Conversion Course provides a comprehensive grounding in the essential legal principles to develop your legal knowledge, professional capabilities and problem solving skills. Providing the perfect preparation for you to commence your vocational solicitor training (SQE route) or barrister training.

For prospective solicitors

As a solicitor, you’ll act on behalf of, and give legal advice to commercial and private clients on a range of legal issues -  anything from drafting a will, to opening a new business venture, to defending a discrimination complaint - working within a law firm or an in-house legal team in a commercial organisation.

We have LPC (Legal Practice Course) and the SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination) courses.

For prospective barristers

As a barrister, you will provide specialist legal guidance and represent clients in both court and through written advice; and present complex legal arguments in a persuasive way that clients, juries and the judiciary can understand.

We have the Barrister Training Course (BTC) available for students.

Master of Laws (LLM)

Enhance your legal CV at any point in your career through our academic LLM degrees, with a wide range of specialisms to choose from.

This course is eligible for a postgraduate loan of £11,570 from the Student Finance (England).
